SORT and SORTBY functions in Excel
As I stated in a previous article sorting the contents of a range and/or string of values we have seen a standardized approach to sorting data. The range of values in the form of a table (not a table object ) can be sorted by selecting a column in ascending or descending order from AZ or ZA, as well as from the smallest to the largest number and vice versa.
The SORT function sorts the contents of a range or sequence in ascending or descending order. Values can be sorted by one or more columns. SORT returns a dynamic sequence of results.
SORTBY function in Excel
It allows us to choose the order itself based on another range or set of values. That series e.g. it can be the order of the days of the week or months of the year and does not have to appear in the sorted table. It is best to look at the following example.

From the example we can see that it is not necessary to see in the sorted table the order in which the translations are sorted in the table.
