Filling blank cells in a table can be done using the PowerQuery plug-in. As we see in the example in the following figure, often the same data is not repeated in the process of filling in the data table.
If we would like to brew the data from this table, we would get an incorrect result. That is why it is necessary to fill all the cells in the first column, which can be very tiring by manual copying.
Filling blank cells in the table will be done by calling the PowerQuery plugin that exists for versions 2010/2013/2016, as follows:
- First click on any cell of the table,
Second, choose Data Tab,
Third, in the Get & Transform section, choose From Table (circled with red).
Filling blank cell tables
When a new content window is opened as in the previous picture, select the head column whose cell we want to fill.
Now we can select the Transform Tab and in the Column section, choose the Fill function that offers the variants downwards (Down) and up (Up).
In this example, we select the Down option, obtaining the result as in the following figure.
End for end up go to Excel with button Close & Load.
