formule u Power Pivot i Power BI<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<p><em><span>DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0is a language used to create expressions (formulas) to create reporting dimensions used in\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>PowerPivot<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0tables.\u00a0The same terms can be used for the tabular model within\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>MS SQL Server Analysis Services<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0.\u00a0Many\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0formulas have the same syntax as\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Excel<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0formulas, while some others can work with relational data and perform dynamic data aggregation, filtering, etc.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"DAX_formule_u_Power_Pivot_i_Power_BI-2\"><\/span><span id=\"DAX_formule_u_Power_Pivot_i_Power_BI\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span><span>DAX formule u Power Pivot i Power BI<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span>The introduction may seem intimidating, but\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0expressions are not much different from formulas you created earlier in\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Excel<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0.\u00a0We use them to form:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span>Calculated\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Columns<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0_<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li>mera (<em>Measures<\/em>)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><span>The calculated columns are very similar to the columns we add in structured tables.\u00a0They are important because, in addition to creating report dimensions, we can also use them to create\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Slicers<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Timeline<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0interactive filters.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>Measures are formulas that are written directly in the model, and we can use them to create much more complex reporting dimensions.\u00a0In the 2013 version, the measures were also called\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Calculated Fields<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0, and since the 2016 version, they have been called\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Measures<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0again .<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>In addition to the measures we have made ourselves (explicit measures), there are also implicit measures that are automatically generated by dragging the reported dimensions into the data aggregation fields.\u00a0For example, dragging the KOL dimension into the\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Values<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u200b\u200bfield aggregation implicitly creates a SUM of KOL measure.\u00a0As of the 2016 version, there is a possibility that implicit measures can be seen in the model.\u00a0We achieve this by clicking the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Show Implicit Measures<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0button \u00a0in the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Advanced<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0toolbar.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>Let&#8217;s create two simple\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0expressions!\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Clicking the Manage<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0button\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0in the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Power Pivot<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0toolbar opens the Data Model window, and then we need to position ourselves on the table (some of the tables we previously added to the Model) in which we want to create calculated columns or measures.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>If we are adding a calculated column, we need to click under the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Add Column<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0label , on the far right side of the table.\u00a0Then, in the formula entry field, enter the formula by starting it with the &#8220;=&#8221; sign, and then print the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0expression.\u00a0When writing formulas, a mechanism known as\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Intellisense<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0is launched \u00a0that automatically offers us column names or\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0formulas that we can use to create expressions, which greatly simplifies the process of writing them.\u00a0In our example we have selected the table Items we want to create an expression that divides the selling price by the exchange rate EUR: = [PC] \/ 120<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>After we have entered the formula, the new column will be automatically filled with the calculated values.\u00a0It is given the temporary name\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>CalculatedColumn<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0(n is an integer).\u00a0Since this name is not appropriate, we will change it by right-clicking on the column name and selecting the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Rename Column<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0option in the context menu .\u00a0The column header will change color and we can enter a more appropriate name, e.g.\u00a0&#8220;PC (EUR)&#8221;.\u00a0In this menu, there are several other options for manipulating the calculated columns, which e.g.\u00a0we can hide, freeze, change their width or order\u2026<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>Whether we make calculated columns of ilimers, immediately after we make them, we need to determine how to display their content (formatting).\u00a0The easiest way to do this is to go to the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Home<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0toolbar, and in the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Formatting<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0section, \u00a0select one of the formatting options (General, Decimal, Percent, Currency, etc.). The basic formatting that each formula receives after its creation is\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>General<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0, which we can to see when we select a calculated column or measure.\u00a0Depending on the content of the formula, we further assign them the desired format.\u00a0For example, a newly created calculated column &#8220;PC (EUR)&#8221; can be formatted as a decimal number with two decimal places.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>We can take measures in two ways.\u00a0The first way would be to click in the field below the\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Calculation Area<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0table, in one of the tables where we want to create a measure.\u00a0Then we state the name of the measure, then the symbol &#8220;: =&#8221;, and at the end we write the desired\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0expression.\u00a0For example, if we position ourselves on the Transaction table, we can create a measure that summarizes all quantities sold:\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>AmountQuantity: = AMOUNT ([KOL])<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><span>Another way to create measures is by using the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>New Measure<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0option , which is located in the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Measures\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0menu in\u00a0 the\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Power Pivot<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0toolbar.\u00a0After launching it, a dialog box will open in the header of which we first enter the name of the table in which we create the measure (\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Table Name<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0), and then the name of the measure (\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Measure name<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0).\u00a0Finally, in the central part of the window, enter the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><em><span>DAX<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0\u00a0expression.\u00a0During input, we can test the formula, and we can also specify the number display format.\u00a0After we enter the correct formula of the measures we have created, it will appear in the given table of the Data Model.\u00a0<\/span><em><span>The Measures<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0menu\u00a0 also includes the\u00a0<em>Manage Measures<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0option\u00a0<\/span><span>, with which we can change previously created measures.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span>If we now chose the Pivot Table (\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Power Pivot<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0), which we created based on this Data Model, we would see two new
